Part 1 // Queering Phenomenology

I was invited to give three Lectures for LTU's College of Architecture and Designs graduate Design Theory Course. These lectures focus on queer and gendered spaces and designing for social justice, all to promote liberation and freedom of expression. This first lecture grounds these approaches through a foundation of feminist and radical phenomenology. I critique Eurocentric notions of value by demonstrating the fallacy of universal subjectivity. And by referencing Black designers and theorists, I describe the Phenomenology of Blackness, focusing on the spatiality of Black Communities. Let me know what you think!
