ATTEMPTING TO MAGNETIZE MY GAN 356 R | Magnetization & Comparison

Hello everyone! Today I decided to magnetize my GAN 356 R to see how it compares to the other GAN models that are currently on the market. How did that go? Watch to find out!

DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional. This is my first time magnetizing a cube. Take what I say with a grain of salt.

I'm a bit late to seeing this but thank you for the shout out! Keep up the good videos! I tend to stick with 4x2 as they are usually not too wide for most cubes... at least without sanding. :-)

I remember watching this right when this came out to magnetize my gan r, which I did but now the gan r has faded and lost some center caps, but yeah watching this is nostalgic.

I just did mine last Friday with the same stuff you got. It’s way better now. The magnets are strong though!

Did you use 4x2, 5x1, 48, 50, 52 ?

Thanks for this. I already ordered strong magnet kit from The Cubicle, but after seeing your issue with having to sand the edge pieces because of the size of the magnets, I think I'll use SpeedCubeReview's magnet source to get 4x2mm magnets instead. Maybe I'll magnetize one of my other really cheap cubes with The Cubicle Kit.

It's funny, the Gan 356 R colors are actually my favorite! The other Gan cube colors slow me down in all but the brightest light situations, especially the yellow/white.

I just magnetized GAN 356R and Little Magic with 4x2 N30 magnets. The magnet on 365R feels too strong imo, the turns feel rough and not smooth. I don't like it. But Little Magic feels incredible. The magnet on Little Magic feel strong but the turns is still smooth. In this case I prefer LM than 356R.

Just did it last week. Before I have Yuxin Little Magic too. I magnetize both of it with N35 4x2mm.
I think mine isnt that strong so I like it.

My Yuxin is really light turning but magnet feels strong because thin plastic.
My GAN feel stable now, magnet feels nice not too strong.

But corner cut on Little Magic isnt as good as GAN.

Still using GAN for now. :D

I have an unmagnetized Gan 356 R and I can get my normal times on it lol (mid 11), I personally don't think magnetizing it would do much since on the X I average low-mid 11, while my main is a Valk M (low 11)
