Passed everything besides math in 2017 but Due to discouragement and doubt I put off taking the math portion until now 2020. Finally got the guts to go for it so I watched a couple of these videos the night before the test and ended up passing today and Completing my GED. My class graduated in 2013 and I’ve spent these 7 year of my life feeling like a worthless bum just because I didn’t believe I could do this and was worried to fail. Don’t be like me and believe in yourself, you can do this ! We are all Kings and Queens but just don’t realize our own worth . Good Luck 👍

I passed the Math GED today !!!! Thank you so much Mr. Cohen. Your videos helped me so much. I dropped out of HS in the 90's. Math was my worst subject. I cringed at the thought of math and at the beginning felt I would never understand Algebra, Hypotenuse, graphs, etc. I had the basic knowledge of addition, subtraction, little multiplication/division. I can finally close this chapter in my life. For anyone struggling or wanting to give up please keep pushing. You can and will pass if you keep at it. thanks man im 27 years old passed all my tests 6 years ago or more due to failing my math test twice i gave up cause i was lucky enough to have a decent job well thats not there anymore i signed up again for it and was worried until i found your videos thank you. i had really bad teachers who never connected with me and you make things easy to understand with out even laying eyes on us.

Another method for 4x+3y=8 and 4x-3y=-16 is to just add down. 4x+4x, 3y-3y, 8-16 this equals 8x=-8 making a short way to get to x=-1. Your videos are helping me, I just saw this and it may help if you come across a problem that is set up that like this one was.

THERE IS A EASY WAY TO SOLVE THE QUESTION 9.
4X+3Y=8
+ +
4X-3Y=-16
8X=-8
X=-1
IT WILL SAVE A LOT TIMES TO FIND THE ANSWER.

easier way to solve question 8:

total pounds = 65 pounds
the envelope = 7.5 pounds
65 - 7.5 = 57.5 pounds
there’s 5 boxes left to calculate the weight of, so we divide 57.5 pounds (the remaining pounds left) by 5 (the amount of boxes) and we get 11.5 pounds per box

very good video, especially on questions 7, 9, and 11, thank you for your support. last week I passed the Math test with 158, and the day after tomorrow I am going to retest again for higher points. For the last two days, I am watching almost all the math videos you made all helpful. ( hope to get some more points)
