Thanks for the video, getting to see these antiques close up, with measurements is fantastic. It's the kind of thing you want to do when visiting a museum! Maybe curators need to have a measurements card for potential modern medieval Blacksmith's.

I find right at the edge on my katanas, the edge tends to be about 25-30 degrees at opposed to at the ridge where it's much finer angle. Lots of "meat" there in that convex.

Any estimation as to the angle of the secondary bevel? I'm guessing about 20-24 degrees, about decent hunting knife edging imho.

What is the point of measuring these angles near the hilt where the edges probably weren't sharp to begin with?
