Flutter and Firbase : Add, Update, and Delete Documents from Flutter App

This video details some of the key concepts of adding, updating and deleting the firebase data from within out Flutter application. To demonstrate the same in the easiest possible way I've modified the default flutter application that comes with the android studio / IntelliJ IDEA

Flutter is a mobile App SDK by Google which helps in creating modern mobile apps for iOS and Android using a single(almost) code base. Unlike other frameworks like ReactNative, it uses Dart and not the JavaScript as a programming language.

FireBase, on the other hand, is a NoSQL cloud-based database and provides storage, retrieval, and streaming services on the data.

Flutter and Firebase are both from Google and makes a great combination to write mobile and web applications.

Anther great tutorial! Please consider making a tutorial on End 2 end encryption of firetore data. It is very important for us in Europe to encrypt the collected data based on the EU law. Also for small small companies like us, using expensive apis lie Virgil is a not affordable approach. All the best from greece

Hi, In the update call, you're again calling the Firestore instance to reference the collection. Since you already have the stream, wouldn't it be convenient to use that to update? Thanks.

Really nice video.. Can but show how to do it dynamically without going to the firebase? Like the admin will be able to change the status of a user document.. Suppose I user fills a booking form and submitted on the database. And admin will be able to change the form status from pending to completed from admin panel.. Not directly from the database.. It will be more realistic.. Can you please show us how to do that?
