One of the big problems about XC is that the broadcasting is awful. Broadcasting via Red Bull and GCN was much better and much easier to watch (and not so extremely expensive as it is now)

XC is in trouble because we can no longer watch live or on replay without spending too much money for coverage so bad you have to mute the sound just to watch. Bring back Red Bull TV Live

XC isnt in trouble. I used to hate it, it was boring to watch and painful to ride but modern XC is pretty gnarly and calls for skill and fitness and even has a fair bit of steezyness

Its quite impressive watching those SL short travel bikes these days
