Dimensional analysis in Physics is a very essential tool. This Physics Lesson introduces with types of physical quantities, meaning of dimension, what is the importance of dimension, why do we learn dimensions etc. Its basic introductory video for learning dimensional Analysis.
There are two types of physical quantities -- Fundamental Quantities ( Primary) & Derived Quantities ( Secondary).
Those quantities which are independent completely are called Fundamental Quantities and there are seven fundamental quantities in our universe we have made for easy learning physics -- Mass, length, Time, Current, Intensity of Light, amount of substance & temperature.
There are special symbol & square bracket used for representing these fundamental quantities like --
[M] for mass
[L] for length
[T] for time
[A] for current
[Cd] for Candela, unit of intensity of light
[Mol] for amount of substance

To study dimensional analysis we take mass, length and time as fundamental quantities of every other derived physical quantity.

Derived Quantities in physics are those quantities which depend on fundamental quantities. For example velocity is a derived quantity because --

Velocity = distance / time, it involves fundamental quantities like distance (length) and time.

We have a method in physics writing these physical quantities in the form of M, L & T. And the power raised (exponent) to these fundamental quantities are called Dimensions.

At first I was confused about this idea.I totaly mixed up every thing, like when to change metre into dimension I wrote [M].But after watching this I got all my doubts cleared.Thank you, now I know more about dimensional analysis.

Electrical current is not a primary quantity. Current is measured in Coulombs per second (electrical charge per second). Electrical charge is a primary quantity.

Finally when he showed the division it all made sense because my stupid 20 years of experience proffessor just said
put -1 as coefficient if you see division anywhere
WHERE THE HELL DO I THEN I PUT IT ???

Sir why are taking mass for derived speed formula speed formula is length × time so it come [L^1T^-1] why u add mass to the formula
