why do we need to implement a circular queue using a linked list when dynamic memory allocation is possible there?

Hello mam,
One thing I want to know that why there is a need of implementing a Circular queue using Linked list. Since linked list allocates the memory dynamically, there would be no drawback of ''wastage of memory space'' even if we simply implement the Linear queue using liked list ?
