Was hyped to see Gorr in live action after Doctor strange 2 was a little bit more brutal, it gave me hope they’d do the character good. But he was nowhere close to being merciless lmao. Did anybody else even feel high stakes/worried for Thor when he was fighting Gorr? Nope Thor didn’t even have a scratch on his face lol.

This whole movie makes me miss the tone of the 2011 Thor movie. Oh, back when the MCU wasn't just a bunch of shitty jokes for children.

As soon as i saw this i knew i wuz gonna enjoy the movie. Haha lol

The movie was good, there’s no way it’s bad. But what makes it worse is that it could have been one of if not the BEST superhero movie. All because of how great the Gorr the god butcher storyline is.

This movie could have been everything; funny, dark, high stakes, Thor’s character arc, intense action scenes. Instead it’s mostly just funny, even the action scenes could have been a lot funner and a LOT more intense. But no, because they focused too much on the comedic side, we didn’t get to see anything intense or high stakes really. I mean Gorr was about to kill ALL gods but I never cared. Gorr is suppose to be this ruthless character but we never really see any of that as well.

That’s why it’s still an enjoyable film for me, but what kills it is that almost everyone knows the potential and the movie it could have been. And what hurts me the most is that we’ll almost NEVER get a great adaptation of Gorr live action ALL because of Taika.
