Показать описание
*Note: Due to technical difficulties, some small parts of the beginning were cut from this video, but no major information is missed as a result of that. We also cut out the individual exercise portion*
Led by Ryan Reft and Avigail Oren, Senior Co-editors of The Metropole, the blog of the Urban History Association.
In this 90 minute interactive workshop, participants learned what makes public-facing history writing appealing to readers, and the mechanics of how to write and publish compelling blog posts on historical topics. Ryan Reft and Avigail Oren shared observations from their experience editing The Metropole, and then led participants through an outline-drafting exercise for a blog post of their own. Participants had the chance to provide and receive feedback on the outlines. The workshop concluded with advice about how to submit to blogs, and what to expect from the editing and publication process.
