iphone 16 Pro Max user here. I've been having lots of issues with 18.4 specially the screen not responding on multiple apps

My 12 mini was hot and was lagging so bad during 18.1-18.3. But with 18.4 its running pretty smoothly and rarely overheating. I don’t know why people complaining about 18.4. For it is a great update that fixed overheating and improved battery life.

16 Pro Max and still on 18.3.2 Average 7-8 hours of use with 60 to 70% battery used. Im too scared to update. No camera issues. No touch screen issues. Waiting for 18.4.1 hotfix after reading comments everywhere

I think the issue is simply the fact that they are supporting so many phones with different amounts of RAM. And many of the features they are adding a very RAM intensive. And when those features are not working properly, they interfere with other features of the phone. The solution is to add a lot of RAM for all future phones and try to hold that steady for a while.

I’ve had every single iPhone since the very first one was released, but I definitely think if I don’t see anything that really is a difference. It may be my first year that I really look at a foldable, android phone such a shame to see them just barely get by anymore

CarPlay has been an issue throughout the 18.4 beta. I reported it every time. Still have the issue. I have a Sony aftermarket head unit. Never had these issues before. Main issue is connecting via cable is hit and miss. Most time, I have to disconnect the cable and reconnect a number of times.

18.4 is great battery wise for my ip14 pro but it is definitely buggy. The os itself has been fine but apps are super buggy for me.

I’ve had a few issues with iOS 18.4. The Car Play suddenly disconnects while driving. I find this quite dangerous and Find My unable to find any of my devices. Says detected over a week ago and trying to retrieve my item won’t work. Apple is really loosing the plot. They used to be good but now they’re software is dangerously buggy. Thinking of switching to Samsung of iOS 19 doesn’t fix alot of the issues.
