Cool part about this scene is that they are both able to prove each other wrong in Endgame

Everyone is referencing Endgame, but I thought Tony's first sacrifice play was at the end of the first Avengers when he took the nuke into the wormhole.

What I find interesting is that Tony didn’t insult Cap until Cap insulted Tony’s ability to be a hero. Tony really wanted to be heroic. And to think that he tried to impress Cap, since Howard wouldn’t stop talking about him… I definitely think Tony was more heroic in this scene. Not to mention, treating Banner as a friend.
