I can't stand to see that mistreatment to mechanics, little professionalism.

The mechanic tried to take another bike immediately, McNulty refused and asked to unlock the chain...
He is a very stressed guy. The delay was his fault.

Pat, youre such a legend. Doing those comparisons of Jonas' and Primoz' cornering, slow-mo picking out whether the DS gets half a rep on the chain, commenting on the plus 3 secs Garmin swap. Nerd level: super power. I love you.

Switching to your secondary is always faster than reloading

Riders fault.. should have just gotten a new bike

McNulty could learn from watching top Cyclocross riders like Van Aert, Van der Poel, Iserbyt, Pidcock, Hermans, ... they all keep their cool when mechanicals or crashes happen. They know that getting all worked up for something beyond their control is going to make the chase that much harder, or put them out of contention when there is still time. For sure trying to fix the bike was the wrong choice...oh, well. But he wasn't 4min into his ride. If he had kept his cool he could have possibly still come away with a solid placing.

Absolutely no class. That mechanic was doing exactly what he should have done.

Fantastic editing with the side by side corner analysis, would love to see more of that

I really don't understand why you follow the rider's decision. He can't think straight in a situation like this

Your editing work, identification of details, etc, is superb and stands you out against the big guys like GCN, Eurosport, and company. Keep it up and congrats!

McNulty has had some big wins this year, but he's had crap luck with his GC ambitions in 2022. Crash at Paris-Nice, then Itzulia was a big focus but he DNS'd due to covid, then he was their stated GC guy here and now this.

no joke about wouts bikethrow in a tt whereas not in a sprint yesterday ?

Now this is a Time Trial. Not that weak 15k stuff we´ve been getting lately.

Look at how fast McNulty still went in the end. If he immediately accepted the bike change, he would've gained nearly a minute

Was he riding the soon-to-release Colnago TT1 bike? Marketing nightmare…

Mechanic did exactly what he was asked to do.

Imagine if all people at the work place acted the McNulty did when things don't go right, professionalism at a low point

Rider has to know the course better hoping curbs with a TT bike never ends well
