One of their best songs. Slave to The Grind was heavy and really great album. I think they deserved much more success than they’ve achieved. It upsets me that grunge absolutely killed them because they couldn’t do anything about it. They tried to be more and more heavy with every upcoming album but it never ended up the right way. Skid Row was one of the best 80s and 90s bands, but sadly as many other bands, the change of music in early 90s totally killed them as a band. No one viewed them seriously any longer. And that sucks. I think if grunge didn’t happen, they would be SO BIG because their music really slapped.

The Skids put out 2 VHS tapes (Yes Tapes) back in the early 90s in support of each of their first 2 albums. There was no DVD out back then. Their first one in 1991 "Oh say can you scream" is a must watch. Then another video in 1993 called "Road Kill". Inside this VHS packaging their were 2 pairs of 3-D Glasses. These were for watching the final video on the tape "Psycho Love". The video you just watched. If not for grunge music, There probably would have been a 3rd tape for Sub human. But we all know how history likes to mess with us.

I thought there was an amazing jump forward in Bach's vocals between the first album and Slave To The Grind...
All of a sudden - well, to me, at least - he went from a decent screamer (albeit with a phenomenal stage presence) to a full blown metal vocalist!!
The intensity especially in this song is just insane.

That entire album is great, by the way.
I still play it regularly - always gets my energy up! 🤘

Seen skid row 3x in the 80s and 2 of them I was front row best damn show I ever seen Bach had the greatest voice and sounded just as good as the album. Guns & roses skid row tour was sick af I think skid played for 2 hrs guns played for 3 hrs capitol city music center in Columbus Ohio
