This takes me back 2.5 yrs before welcoming along our twins (B/G). Selling my track cars and motorbikes and buying the "sensible" family car (Zafira and now my E46 325i Touring). Congratulations to alex, been amazing how many great car channels have popped up on the last couple of years, been watching you since your first video with Alex. My adorable baby daughter was born on the 4th june and after a long and messy labour both her and mum are now healthy and happy. I'm stuck with a 83bhp 1.25 Kia Rio at the moment which on the way home from the hospital I could have steered with my knees. All these channels help keep a passion for cars going.

As a father to 3 daughters, who ideally wanted a son 😅 I can 100% say I wouldn’t change a thing. I love my daughters more than anything. And seeing some of my mates with boys I’m glad I have girls 😂 that may all change when they hit their teen years 😂 but as it’s stands having 3 Tom boys in my life is brilliant. They’re all into cars and anything motorised and slightly dangerous much to the dismay of their mother 😅

And going back to Ben’s analogy of becoming a dad for the first time and buying your dream car, it is very similar. Because you don’t know what to expect and they both have to potential to be a total nightmare or to bring you a lot of joy. But you will look back at it all with fond memories whatever the outcome. My eldest who’s now 9 didn’t sleep at night for the first 6 months. We tried everything but nothing worked. I honestly don’t know how we did it but we did survive. She now sleeps like a log and is a pain in the bum to get out of bed of a morning. Fun times.

Honestly though all the best Alex and Rianne with becoming parents. We’re all rooting for you

Just a wee tip if using your Portchester use a sun blind in rear window or get a slight tint for stop sun shinning on your baby head as looks your friends one the sun shinning on her head but great video and all the best being a dad it has great times ahead

My daughter was born 5 months ago, one of the hardest things done but also the best, we had a really collicy baby and it was brutal.

This made me think back (12 years!) to the week my daughter was due. I’d sold my TVR and the “sensible” replacement was an S4 Cab. I can remember driving home from work in the evenings that week- I had no idea how it would change my life.

Magical times.

(And now I’m just badgering her to tidy her room and do her homework like a miserable old bugger 😂)
