The 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4MATIC+ ($139,777 CAD, ~$136,300 USD) has been facelifted for this year, and offers a tantalizing mixture of road presence and driving exhilaration. But in terms of value, this comparatively understated 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG only cost the owner ($25,000 CAD, ~$20,650 USD) earlier this year. Which would you choose? SUBSCRIBE!!!

I remember when Richard Hammond reviewed this E63 on Top Gear 10 years ago… it’s such a machine and it aged so well

I’ve wanted a 2010 E63 for so long mostly because I love that front end man that thing is gorgeous

As a Mercedes Benz technician I can say it's rare for amg owners to even make it to 10k miles before they need all new tires. I had a guy come in the other day with his E63 and his front and rear tires were melted, I just asked him if he had fun. Then told him how much his new tires would be haha

Paying 25 grand would have been everyone’s choice, end of story.

Old vs New is probably my favourite thing to watch on Youtube

I work at a Benz dealership. I'll tell you now, if I had the money for a new E63, I'd buy the W212 and fix it up. That's not to say I don't like the new E63 Biturbo V8 model, but the older car feels so raw, and that's what I like in a performance car.

Been driving my 2009 SL63AMG Since the day I bought it. 94, 000 Miles, tires cost a lot, but other than regular maintenance, only $4, 000 has been spent in 11 years for broken parts. I change the oil every 6, 000 miles, but it was a great investment, $135, 000 in 2009, and when I get gas, people still think it's a $135, 000 car. I won't sell it for $50, 000, I just love it that much. The M156 motor is the last of the great V8's. I will never again be able to buy a 550 HP NA V8 Motor, that sounds like a 427 Cobra, with MB SL Quality.

That track has more rubber than tarmac at this point.

Also, the old E still looks stunning. and sounds stunning too.

Honestly guys, you are one of the few channels where I will watch the whole video start to finish as you seem to know when to change the subject to keep the video interesting. I love the structure of them. Not many channels do that - keep it up!

I bought my 2010 E63 in 2014 with 34, 000 miles. I crossed 60, 000 in November 2021. It’s a wonderful car, everything you want: great around town, great on the highway. And I like the look of it more than I do the new E cars. I’m just hoping that the head bolts hang in there—that was a problem with this engine.

The w212 model is the last great design for the e-class, the angles were insane and it didn’t look like all the other models

It seems that over the two years I’ve been watching Throttle House, the commentary has gotten better and better. More descriptive. More intelligent and relatable. There’s both the perspective of someone who is incredibly familiar and competent and familiar with high performance mixed in with the common average guy. The entertainment value just keeps going through the roof. Couple that with the Extra channel and the fun you guys have with the F12 and the like? I can’t stop coming back for more.

Reading the comments brought tears to my eyes. The W212 E 63 is ever so graceful and endulges with the true essence of it's heritage. The 2010 AMG has aged SUPERBLY!! This generation of Mercedez came with a bang!! The proof is in the pudding, and the proof is in the 6.2 V8's!!!! Can we even talk about the design language... I mean man... this car has aged SO WELL!!!! This is inclusive of its group!! I wish I could take it back to 2010 when that older generation was the state of the art. That N/A engine and it's raw sound is just eye catching!! 🥲🥲 What a marvel and being able to understand and be apart of the generational change, but I will stay stuck in the 2010 gen!! C-Klasse, E-Klasse, ML-Klasse please😍😍

2010 looks 100, 000 times better. I LOVED the look of the squared-off Mercedes lineup from this time. Im keeping my W204 til the wheels fall off. Even then ill probably keep it lol. One of these days im gonna get an SL from the same time period
