When I was in the air force, I spent 3 weeks on San Clemente working on the radio site. Always an interesting time.

Point to MN for the VHF contest! Northern Lights Radio Society has a BUNCH of operators who will be on!

Solder coax???? Crimp connectors all the way!

Try coiling hardline... we got permission to clean out a cell storage yard. All the short roll ends, used stuff pulled off towers... we filled the bed of a flat bed wrecker with rolls of hardline. Got it home, unrolled each piece to measure it... then had to roll it all back up. Every roll up 1 5/8ths hardline??? Took 4 of us! I use that on 2m eme and it takes 2 people to make a bend. 7/8th's hardline for the rest of it... some fsj4-50b for rotor loops and on HF

I guess I’m odd. I enjoy winding toroids. It’s an art form.
