My opinion on your drill is total rebuild it this winter. You like it, and it does a good job. Also planting more spring forage. New would be very costly.

I have owned several makes of grain drills. But I have only owned two types of no tills. My first one was a Great Plains. It was a great drill but only 15’ wide. The one we have now is a sunflower. That is the best drill I have ever had. It is 30’ wide and has a better metering system. I have owned an old JD drill years ago. It was a good drill, but never owned a JD no till.
