Grid lines are helpful when aligning subjects vertically or horizontally. With a Canon Rebel T3i, there are three grid options: None, 3 x 3, and 5 x 5. This feature is called Grid Display in the Menu options.

Step 1: Press the Menu button.
Step 2: Navigate right, to the fourth tab.
Step 3: Select "Grid display" and then your preferred options: None, Grid 1 (3x3) or Grid2 (5x5).
Step 4: Make sure you're in Live View to be able to view the Grid overlay.

The grids disappear while recording movie. Can it somehow stay while recording as in canon cam corders?

Although, this unfortunately did not solve my problem. Whenever I'm about to take a photo and through the live view there is this very annoying square grid in the middle of the camera. Once I start recording it goes away but I still would like it gone. It wasn't there until I messed with the cam and now I don't know what I've done!

How can I remove the grid lines on the computer screen at eos utility live view? I tried disable the grid live, I can remove the grid lines only on my m50 screen, but the 3x3grid lines always display on my windows 10 live view by using Eos utility software. Thanks!
