My mom and I fell in love with the most adorable towel dresses from Pawley's Island, South Carolina designer Susan Albright; I was inspired to make my own budget-friendly version in light of our upcoming beach trip!

I chose a shift dress from my wardrobe that fit well to use as my pattern, ordered some terry cloth yardage from Joann Fabrics, and got to creating in my craft room! The result was two fun and functional towel dresses to enjoy at the beach or pool.

I hope this video inspires you to get outside of your comfort zone and make something you'll enjoy for years to come!

I love your cover up. I live in Queensland, Australia and have lived by the beach all my life. About two years ago I purchased some lovely pink terry toweling with the idea of making a beach cover up but somehow I couldn't decide on what to make. Seeing your mother's and yours has made me decide. I love the zip idea. No struggling and wrestling with getting it on and off. Think I will start now and when summer comes I'll be ready. Thanks Hannah. Love your channel.

Great idea for gift giving. My sister would adore the blue! I can’t wait to get started on this for her birthday in September. Maybe I will try a mockup version using old towels first. Greetings from New York City !👍🏼🙏🇵🇷🗽😃
