Jazz by nature requires improvisation,
That’s how it’s been defined by the musicians who created it…
There is no improvisation in electronic music . And making a 4 on the floor beat with some major and minor 7s does not constitute “new jazz”.
Sounds good but if you are trying to replicate a genre and add elements of it to your own style, maybe to a little research on the origins and theory of it? b bop and bossa nova are good places to start.
