"We've reduced the deflection down to 0.010" as the dial sweeps past 0.010" before the camera cuts

Did this on an old '99 1500 with my dad. Direct solution! Worked real well and nailed it. Highly recommend a stabilizer bar for these trucks.

Id like to see that dial indicator shot after the install to be framed exactly how it was on the preinstall. Looks a little sus that the measurement after the install wasnt exacerbated just like the preinstall measurement was.

What stumps me is; when I was a young kid (60s) my father and all his friends had various 4×4s all straight axle and none of them had the wobble ever. It seems to have become a thing in the last 30 years or so. The only common denominator I can find is the move away from leaf springs in the front JMO.

I love your products and have your steering stabilizer on my 17 Ram 2500. However I think it would be worth mentioning that just about any worn steering component on the front end of these(solid axle) vehicles (Ball joints, track bar bearings, drag link/tie rod bearings, etc) can contribute to and cause death wobble. Not sure there is a magic bullet fix other than replacing any worn components. Of course this aftermarket fix along with some others(upgraded drag link/tie rod, Upgraded track bar) will keep ya rolling straight alot better than the factory junk!

This is a good product and I use it on my 98. All this does is remove some of the slop in the steering wheel from the play in the output shaft of the gearbox. They way they are advertising it is not accurate and this will not fix deathwobble. Years 94 to 97 and '00 until the 4th gen can sufffer from deathwobble due to the fact of the steering suspension forming a 'Y'. Most 2500s and 3500s 98-99 utilized the HD steering suspension that they later used on all 4th gen solid axle where the tie rod is a solid piece with an adjustment sleeve for alignment. This is the style that they're demonstrating in the video.... So if you're wanting to fix your deathwobble then you have to upgrade to the 98-99 HD tie rods, drag link and pitman arm for the second gen. If you buy the 4th gen style, you'll have to ream out your knuckles to get the joint to fit.

Best way is to put a front hitch on your truck, makes the frame rails rigid and usefully. Have a winch and snow plow that I use seasonally.

I just removed mine on my 08 to install a new HD 2010+ steering gear and because the sector shaft is so much larger I need the new "nut". Bought a factory nut to get by for now but Holy crap does it wobble around now! I ordered the new 2010+ kit right away.

i own a 2006 dodge ram and i installed a steering stabilizer from BD but they pretty much all look the same. Needless to say i still got the wobble, after installing the Kore Recon series lift kit i removed it mainly because with the aluminum sway bar lowering block, i didn't have the correct length bolts. What i noticed was it had to do more with tire wear and balancing than anything at least with my truck. With new tires and alignment i have no issues whatsoever but when tires are at the halfway mark, i gotta watch for those uneven surfaces, bumps or dips.

I had it on a 1997 ram 3500 4x4 . Then found out passenger side ball joints were wore out . Maybe that caused it and or made other parts unstable during it . God Bless !!!

Crawl underneath vehicle, keep eyes on track bar bushings, have someone tur steering a few inches back and forth, if there's slop, that's your problem right there.
Track bar on death wobble is always the culprit

This will not fix the death wobble it does stiffen the front end but doesn't do anything for the death wobble

Tires and your track bar are the first things to look at when addressing a death wobble issue, then the list continues from there, worn ball joints, worn steering arm and so on.

This steering brace has nothing to do with the death wobble issue, so be careful of these false claims just to sell you a product. New trucks don't have a steering brace and a new truck does not have death wobble do they, death wobble occurs from worn Factory parts.
