Besides gaining so much information from you, which I greatly appreciate, I wish we lived closer as I do believe you and I could be great friends. I just really like the kind of person you are!!!! You are funny, smart and have integrity! I like that!

Nice one Streaky, musician, writer, and recovering techno Dj here. I taught myself on ableton when it came out after dabbling with FL, cubase, pro tools et al. I'm mainly struggling with pushing certain elements too hard so they're clearer in the mix, which results in me chasing my tail. I could really do with a start to finish gloss over my techniques, the knowledge is there, but being self taught, there's a lot of things I have missed that I need in my arsenal.

Nearing three decades for playing instruments, two decades of guitar and electric mods/building fx, one and a half decades of audio engineering/mixing/design. Your work and techniques impacted my career.

Wow, 30 years. In my 13 years journey with audio i'm still using some of your tips in my workflow - thank you for this and can't wait for new videos :)

I appreciate your efforts, Streaky, and have learned much from you. I greatly enjoy the work you did for my 2023 song, C.O.P.N.E. I'm readying my first EP and album, and will be in touch with you this year for next steps. I'm only struggling with finding enough time to seriously devote to my music career side of life - as to me it's my rest-of-life long game - on top of the myriad other things I do. But I have a nice balance, and I'm improving this all the time. Have a wonderful year and speak soon. (Also been in the music biz 30 years from last summer)

Great channel and decision. Have a great 2025 ahead. Would love to know more about these:

1. Getting releases and reaching out to labels.

2. Tips for distributing and planning self releases for the most impact.

3. How to plan and execute vinyl release and how to distribute it.

4. Panning and stereo processing.

5. Sequencing projects.

6. How to setup a balanced mixing room from scratch.

I have been signed to majors, created independent dance labels and made shitload of vinyl, and so on. What I miss today and find difficult is to find likeminded artists that want to share a common project. I miss the natural, organic networking of the 90s. We are all on our own today. Which is weird given Internet.

Happy 30 years, Streaky. I have been along on this channel since your early days and really enjoyed when you had that other mix engineer on from your Metropolis days.

I'm also a mastering engineer, and I would like to know how to attract more clients in this digital age using platforms like Instagram and TikTok. My client base is starting to get stale, and I would like to inject more new clients, but I have a tough time closing out the reach-out/cold calls.

Well, I think it’s adhd related, but after 15 years of doing this, the number 1 thing I struggle with is jumping into the mixing part too fast instead of assessing and tuning my ears up, along with going too far in some of my moves in the hopes of making something cool and/or gnarly, and having to dial it back.

Legend, love that you're expanding your output to come. Right now I'm making sample packs for BandLab sounds as a freelance producer/sound designer, I'd love to reach further with content for other brands and further expand my repertoire. I also have a young family since growing my own career - ... and I'm currently in the process of an ADHD diagnosis. You are always an inspiration and a fantastic mentor, Thank you!

As a female I had to work really hard to get recognition and paid work recording and mixing for others.
But I just LOVE the technical side and have learned so much from you Streaky. Always great tips that really make a difference in my mixes.
The more you share with us - the more I feel I can grow and get better at what I love doing: writing songs, producing, recording and mixing! Thank you for sharing Streaky!! ❤❤
