Ski touring traverse of the Pigne de Arolla

A video of our ski traverse of the Pigne de Arolla from our valley base in the village.

We were guiding on a Vertical Frontiers trip and decided to tackle this classic peak in-a-day during the good weather.

We started out on the pistes before the resort opened before climbing to the Pas de Chevre, down the ladders and then onto the glacier near the Dix hut.

After cramponing up the serpentine the summit view was a good reward for our efforts. We then skied the normal route down towards the Vignettes refuge and then back into the Arolla valley.
