as someone who bought the viper ultimate and really enjoyed it, and then bought the logitech g pro superlight and _really_ enjoyed that, I am LOVING the new viper v2 pro. its exactly what I wanted the viper ultimate to be.

Thank you for letting us know you are one of the real "Youtubers" that care about their audience and not about the big companies sending them products. Please keep it that way.

I have the original Viper Ultimate with v2 switches and superglide glass feet. You can get the Viper Ultimate for $50-$60 with or without the dock used or renewed, and it's often on sale. I honestly need nothing else, it's the perfect weight, shape, and coating and with glass feet, it's even better.

Edit: A USB-C adapter for it also exists for $10 USD (base price and shipping) so you can use any USB-C cable for charging. It's called encoo USB-C to Micro USB dongle for Razer Wireless Gaming Mice.

We already had this conversation with the GPX and the sad reality is that people keep paying it so manufacturers will keep raising the price until consumers say that's enough the onus falls to the consumer to dictate what is acceptable

I've actually watched several videos on this mouse and this is the first one that I felt like was a fresh take. I love the introduction as to how if feels in things like CS and Valorant.

Overpriced and I miss the dock, but so far loving the V2. The lighter weight is very nice, and I feel like the buttons (especially the side) are much better feeling when clicking them. Mouse scroll is still meh.

Despite the improvement on the feet aka being bigger, *I'D LOVE* if all companies focus on making bigger feet/indents. With GPX/G303SE/Zowie/XM1 you can always put smaller feet if you want, but indents on most mice being so small we don't have the luxury of the vice versa, using bigger feet. I hate Xtrfy's tiny feet, i hate RVU small feet. Just do what Endgame gear did - make bigger indents. You get to choose between smaller feet of OG Xm1 or the bigger Zowie-like feet of the newer. I am pretty sure that you even get 1 big and 1 small pair inside the box.

First, amazing review and quality content here. Secondly, well done handling drama. There's no need to be unprofessional if you don't agree with others and you just modeled how to be respectfully humble. Thank you so much for all you're hard work! 🙏👍

Good guy Dmitri recommending other YouTubers to get a more varied opinion on the product instead of shutting others off because they have a different opinion.

People that cry over the price don’t know what it feels like to see scalper prices for a Starlight 12

I agree with weight not being much of an issue anymore. They can't make them much lighter than this and plus weight was always a personal preference for people anyway. I always liked the mice that let you adjust the weight of the mouse with included weights so you could get that perfect feel

Thank you for actually reviewing the mouse vs complaining about the price the entire video! While, sure, Razer could have probably charged a bit less, at the end of the day it is the consumer who makes the decision to spend their money. Besides, a year from now there will be good discounts anyway, and this review will actually help them determine if it is a good product 👍

You're right about the weight difference being noticeable. I notice it with my g pro vs superlight, It makes holding the mouse more natural and effortless. And I prefer razer's flatter shape. So I'd love this mouse if ambidextrous with no right side buttons wasn't such an annoying trend, because if you're used with doing important stuff in-game with them, then the use for such a mouse is rather limited. As it is, I'd rather get 2 more ultimates for the price of one of these, before everyone saves a few bucks on 2 switches and you can't get proper ambi mice anywhere.

The price is steep for sure, but same for Logi.
Just started testing it and compare it to the Viper Ult, and I have to say that I really don't miss the side grips as I thought initially. Also, the lack of RGB is a good thing for me as the battery life won't be affected :)

Got the v2 pro today since my viper ultimate has trouble charging on the dock. Played some valorant with it already. I’m loving what I feel. Shape seems identical to the ultimate. And you for sure feel the weight difference. I use it on a firefly hard mouse pad and the tracking and smoothness is perfect. I’m glad I upgraded.

Razer RMA support for Canadians is terrible.

The Agents don't read, ask the same questions over despite being answered and when they finally determine your product is defective, their advanced replacement option is in USD. When I asked them how much the hold would be, they quoted the price on the invoice without looking at the fact my invoice had other transactions on it. Another agent responded saying I'd only have to pay the MSRP for my device when I bought it at 91.99 (after Tax). I ended up accepting the advanced repair option - AFTER being ensured it wouldn't be any more than I paid for the controller, I accepted the advanced repair service. On receiving the information for the hold, they had the total price of 91.99 in USD, which is about 115-120 CAD.

I've done Cell phone tech support & RMA before so I understand some of the possible issues, however it's ridiculous that I'd let them take a hold for 35 dollars more than I actually paid for the device. Even with the higher price of cell phones, we only held a fraction of the device price.

For those curious, it was a wolverine v2 controller and it failed after 6 months with one of the buttons just not accepting input. I enjoyed the controller while it lasted but between the terrible support, ridiculous RMA options and a product that broke in half the time of the warranty, I'll never buy another Razer product. This mouse may be nice but where you guys are fellow Canadians, I figured other Canadians might benefit from this information as warranty service can often be a factor in making purchases.

Corsair support was amazing. I broke the bracket for the H115i pump and they shipped out a whole new set of brackets for any chipset - Free. I also had 2 led strips fail and instead of asking me to send in the defective strips, they just sent out another package of 4 strips, leaving me with 2 extra. Amazing RMA support from Corsair especially considering the strips cost almost as much as the Razer controller I had go defective.

Step up your game Razer.
