It's all great until you interact with people and realize that your social skills are 5+ years below where they should be and you can't make any connections because even though youre the same age it feels like they're in a completely different part of life than you.

I am homeschooled and I really like it! I had a lot of anxiety going to public school so I love being able to do school at my house but I do wish that I had like a group of friends that I could go everywhere with. I have a lot of friends but they aren’t like the kind of friendship that I really want?? I don’t know how to explain..

this is so real. when i was homeschooled, my sisters friend would come over and constantly berate me that i have no friends and i never go out. this year, i’m in public school, and i just went out shopping with a school friend for the first time ever. 🥺🥺 it was a big deal tbh

everyone has their things and like you said being homeschooled was just not mine. everyone makes it seem like it’s this fun thing where we get to sleep in and wear pajamas all day but that’s just not the truth. sure some people may have a better experience being homeschooled for whatever reason but as for me I just don’t do well in it. and seeing everyone else on social media going to high school sports games, prom dress shopping, and just having a friend group overall has made me feel so much worse about it. I’ve been both homeschooled and public schooled but no matter what anyone says public school was so much better for me

I go to public school and no one parties lmao😭😭 everyone doesn’t even meet their friends outside of school, we’re all antisocial af once out of school. Wish parties were a thing tho
