How to Power up Arduino using a 3.7V Li-Po battery

I want to make light weight Arduino circuit. Also wants to use rechargeable battery. So In this video I have shown a way to use 3.7V lipo battery for Arduino based project instead of 7V input. I have also explained dos and don’ts and effect on performance. How clock speed and supply voltage are related. Hope it will be useful.

Brainergiser, Thank you for your basic tutorials on the battery. When you mentioned the crystal based on Mhz, I didn't realized on some Arduino board comes in variety of frequency. I guess, I will have to take some CLOSER look on crystal. Again, thank you for the best educational on lipo battery. Normally, not all vendor or eBay vender sell the same based on products from the market.

Nice tip to use Rechargable of available Arduino board. I know it's possible to make custom Arduino board with lipo bat as atmega chip works at wide voltage range.

This is very good. How did you connect the two pin wires to JST connector of Lipo battery?

Why not using a battery charger module to charge your battery through pin 5V and prevent overcharge ? And also a booster converter too because the arduino needs a minimum of 7V (max 12V) in Vin I think (which is then reduced to 5V through a regulator).

Hey thanks for this awesome video. I have a question though: you mentioned that if you plug a usb cable while the battery is connected, the board will try to charge the battery which could cause the battery to be damaged, but if the battery that was being used was rechargeable, would the board be able to recharge it without problems or would you need to do something extra? Thanks!
