I get these a lot- a lot of my symptoms seem to point to epilepsy. I'm seeing an epilepsy specialist in January-hoping he can shed some light on everything.

I have been getting these for years and no one knows why. sometines theyve lasted minutes ans sometimes hours, with one side recovering sooner than others. My largest skeletal muscles start first then progresses over a couple of minutes to minor muscles like fingers and lips. but not smooth muscle. A neurologist had no clue and said as it wasnt sudden and i dont get injured - they didnt bother investigating, despite having one in my GP surgery office!!! I wish more specialists spoke more about this

Hello there, I get atonic seizures which does just feel like my brains doing a quick reset, absence ones that I don’t notice until someone points them out, then convulsive, I get these in clusters usually during times of stress. And even some convulsive flare ups I’m fully conscious but paralysed during it. It’s scary! Don’t like it one bit.

I have Functional Neurological Disorder 🙃 ❤ thanks for explaining something I’ve been looking to describe for a decade but been unable to. Everyone looked at me weird lol.

I have these all the time, more frequently when upset. Generally there's a wall, furniture, car or a human in the way. I just ask to help me up, & most of the time I carry on like nothing happened, & sonetimes it takes a minute. My fear in fall on something sharp, or into traffic. Only twice have I falled sideways whilst sitting. A couple months ago, I fell out of my RV - that hurt. I am 67 & have suffered with these for at least 20 years. My resilance is wearing thin. I generally fall to the left.
