John Gallagher Jr. on Starring in The Avett Brothers' SWEPT AWAY

The Broadway Show host Tamsen Fadal sits down with SWEPT AWAY star John Gallagher, Jr. to discuss returning to Broadway in the Avett Brothers musical.

I'm an Avett Brothers fan who discovered the band because of John being a "wannabe publicist" during his time in Spring Awakening. He's right — they're incredible. It brings me such joy to witness this full circle moment for John and the entire company. I've seen all three productions of Swept Away and it's truly stunning.

I was blessed to be able to take my son to opening night of this show! It was great.

This is such a special show. It’s so great to see JGJ portray Mate and sing these songs. His respect and admiration for the Avett Brothers is evident and as a fellow Avett fan it means a lot. I’ve seen the show in Berkeley and DC and will soon be traveling to NYC for its Broadway run. Can’t wait to be Swept Away again by this amazing show.
