Yes, sometimes these go bad & of course it could be alerting you to a propane leak like they're designed to do, but it could be one of these other issues.

Sure enough - dry sink traps. Ran an Ozone generator and flushed water throughout the system. Now we have a green light and no more beeping!!. Thank

You are laying down in a 36A. We have one. And we had that problem too. Now, since this bathroom is mine, it is being used daily. The trap in the shower is no issue. We did have problems with the air admittance valves and I actually replaced all 3 in our 36A. But there is one more thing! This RV comes with Dometic 300 series residential style toylets and they had floor seal problems. Dometic was/is aware of this issue and replaces them. Used to smell pretty bad on travel days.

Okay I’ll check my battery. Mine goes off every few days. I’m going to clean the sink and shower really good as well just in case. But thank you for some ideas. I don’t have my propane tanks even hooked up and it was fine before unhooking them. But I’m thinking most likely it’ll be a battery issue because when there was a strong propane smell an RV repair man came and fixed it and not once did this go off and beep. Now that that’s fixed and propane’s been unhooked cause I don’t use it so figured wasn’t making sense to have them hooked up. But I’ll try the battery and see if it helps and clean the shower and sink.

If the light is orange not quite red what does that mean? The propane is off and the gas button is off as well haven’t been using the shower or no cleaning products etc. could the life spam just be running low?

We learned that hair spray affects ours. They are sensitive and that is a good thing! Thanks for sharing!

When I use Lysol spray in my bathroom it sets mine off. Turns out Lysol uses Butane as a propellant.

Yea, mine randomly beeps either 7 or 11 and I don't even have my propane on or other appliances that could cause co but there is a smell coming from my kitchen gray tank. Hmmm (I live in mine full time)

Can these be set off by cedar in an ice castle. Propane is off and unit is plugged into the house.

The only time my detector is going off is when the hot water is turned on. If it was a dried trap, it would happen even when using cold water, right? The water heater was electric powered not gas. The camper has sat for about a year. Any suggestions??
