This song portrays an honesty not normally associated with the American Male.. Perhaps this is why many women seem to like this song. Or maybe they just thought Mac Davis was hot.. Or both.. Guess we'll find out..

I love this song so much...I remember being just a little girl and when this song would come on the radio I would sing my little heart out...my mom and sisters were amazed that I knew all the words. My mom asked me did i know what the song was about and why I loved it so much...I think she felt better when I said I didnt know what it was really about but i just loved the way it sounded....Now I know what it means and still love the way it sounds....Great Job Larry....Thank You

Well, Mac Davis was fairly hot, in a geeky, country boy kinda way. Plus he did "fill out those skin tight blue jeans." :-)
