Jim Culver is a Florida based musician who began his career in music when he was 12 and began composing at age 17. In addition to composing professionally, Mr. Culver serves as an organist and choral director. His works have been performed worldwide including Europe and Asia.

This is so amazing. Excellent performance. Jim sounds a little like me, someone who also began at a young age. My first instrument was a Cookie Monster piano but my first real instrument was a Casio VL-Tone keyboard and I composed (actually improvised then memorized the improvisation and recorded that because I didn't know how to read music yet) my first song back in 1988, it was only about ten seconds long or so, but it was something. Sadly, as I didn't know anything related to chords until about 1996, the basics of reading music until 1998, and fully how to read music until 2001, I just went with "this sounds good", very little of my earliest stuff was written down. What little I did "write down" was with a magic marker on the piano keys.
