I’m literally so grateful to say this is my great great grandmother ❤️

she is playing a right handed guitar, she has it turned upside down. How is she doing this, with her eyes closed at that? I don't know if anyone understands the talent and sheer craziness of what she managed to pull off here. As a guitar player, I'm floored!

This is the lady wrote the standard "Freight Train" when she was 12 years old. Wonderful, clean technique, and a beautiful person to boot. 10/10.

Way back in the folkie days, I played a concert with her. And her grandchildren on stage, singing along. Such a long time ago. a pleasure to find this here on YouTube. Thanks to whoever posted it.

I wonder if she ever dreamed that 3.2 million people would stop and watch her play her guitar? It’s so freaking cool to watch these old videos and get to love the musicians and artists of yesteryear. My grandfather would have loved this 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

She’s playing a right handed guitar while holding it left which makes the strings backwards or upside down....
That’s pretty amazing

OMG, she looks just like my Grandma, that is why I clicked it. Wow, what a talent.

She's playing a right-handed guitar as a left-handed player, without changing the positions of the strings. Awesome!

Elizabeth played at our grade school. That was about 45 years ago. I still remember bits and pieces from when I was 6 or 7. She was really nice, we love her.

Today at age 72 I discovered Elizabeth (Libba) Cotten. Freight train was one of the first songs I learned to play on my guitar when I was about 19. I had no clue who wrote the song and now I feel I have discovered an earth angel. Rest in peace Libba.

As a guitar player I'm always amazed that people can play guitar upside down. The guitar is hard enough. Amazing style and technique witnessed here. Feeling humbled

My 6 yo said: "It looks like her fingers are dancing." Indeed, it does. 💖

.... This woman is God tier. She split heaven open with an axe playing like that. God bless this lady. You can tell she genuinely loved Gospel music.

For those of you unfamiliar with her, she was incredibly talented, and a all around great human being. We could learn a lot from her and her generation.
