If you think about it, Flowey’s got it hard. Imagine going through what Asriel went through, dying, waking up in a new body, in a world where no one knows who you are. Even your own mother doesn’t know you.

I mean, I understand why Flowey desperately wants to keep the secret. If he's really tried every outcome out of boredom, he's killed his parents multiple times. Even in the true ending, he still tried to take everything from us. Admitting that he is Asriel is admitting his guilt for all the horrible things he's done.

The part where Flowey says " You don't see me! You look right through me!" Reminds me of similar interactions of patients with memory loss or old age looking at family members like strangers. The pain he feels is one of the worst in the world
