How to FIX in-game Chat on your Headset

This didn't help. I'm a loss for words. I've done everything I can do, i've watch/read dozens of ways to fix this problem, and nothing works. It was fine a few years back but suddenly stopped working. I've changed Mics and controllers, but nothing fixed it. I'll keep trying different Mics hoping it'll suddenly fix but I doubt it'll happen. It could be my xbox but I hope it isn't. The search continues. Hopefully I'll be able to hear game chat again one day.

DUDE THANK YOU SO MUCH. Ive been playing with this for 12 hours now every setting i could think of font even know how it got turned off. Thank you so much. It was "Allow Passthrough" is what fixed mine your video helped none of the 10 other ones did

Mine hasnt worked for a year now and now when i plug it in slowly it works, hope this helps!

For people having the wireless mic if you stay in that tab and then mess with the volumes on the headset you can watch the sliders on the volume tab on the Xbox so just look at it while you set the volume on your headset

For anyone who has game audio but cant talk, reset your game audio settings, then goto your console settings and reset the console audio settings. Restart the game and it should work.

I recently bought a new headset and sound works, mute works, it’s just that I can’t talk through. Like I don’t make a sound when I’m tapping the mic but everything else works. It shows that it is on, I started a party and it’s on but no sound. I reset my audio and it is still not showing a sign of sound

Bro ty sm i was doing this for hours abt to rage n thow my headset my chat mixer was on max so if it didn't let me hear game volume but now i can❤
