I’m trying to learn Spanish, and this is perfect, as there’s no other sounds like music to distract from the conversation.

Maria speaks muy rápido but she's very clear at the same time. She enunciates every word beautifully. Makes it easy to understand, even at that speed. As someone obsessively trying to break out of intermediate-advance to advanced level, your videos have been priceless. ¡¡Mil Gracias!!

Great episode! This is the kind of Spanish that you need to understand because that is how they talk in Mexico. I would like to see more episodes of this nature.

I saw this vid for the first time a year ago or so, when I just started learning Spanish. I could barely understand what the native speaker was saying, I was only understanding single words, rarely whole sentences. Today I decided to come back and try again, mainly to check my progress after an intensive year of learning the language with the huge help of your channel and... Now I can proudly say that I understood almost everything! Thank you so much, I think I would have given up at some point without your help. Still can't write very well in Spanish, but at least now I can understand it without any problem!! :)

I am only picking up a few words here and there of the girl on the left pero me encanta su voz!!! Sounds like music the way it flows. I am learning Spanish for my Mexican husband and our little niño so he can grow up surrounded by both languages. This channel is helping!!

Here's a hint for anyone like me who needs the speed slowed down of the audio at certain parts. Click on the "gear" icon in the bottom right part of the screen (its next to CC), and change the playback speed from "normal" to "0.75".

I loved this !! Thank you!! I’m a 17 year old Mexican-American and both of my entire families were born and raised in Mexico, while I was born and raised in America. I’ve had trouble communicating with my extended family due to my lack of casual conversational skills and their inability to speak English, so ever since I’ve been wanting to improve my Spanish speaking skills so thank you so much for this, it was so entertaining and educational to listen to this !!

Soy de India. Entendí casi todo lo que dijo Mafer. 😀 Llevo 2 años estudiando español. Acabo de aprobar nivel C1. Este esfuerzo valió la pena.👍 Es una gran sensación cuando entiendes un idioma extranjero.

it's amusing to see people in the comments saying that she's speaking really fast because that's how I feel like right now when I'm trying to learn russian and hearing native Russian speakers. My mom speaks spanish basically the same speed as her so it felt normal 😅 watching a bunch of telenovelas with her in the mornings also helped :)

The Mexican accent, without the street slang is the clearest accent to learn, right with that of Colombia Bogota.
