I wanted to 3d print something from the video game Destiny and give it away, so I loaded up a Ghost model in Simplify3D, halved it, and then filmed the print in a timelapse. Then, wait, WHAT HAPPENED NEXT???

Dude that's an amazing simplify 3d trick. I'm always having to split models in half in 3dsmax and they don't always turn out great and are hard to split.

joel, try some PETG filament! like ABS, it isn't brittle. but unlike ABS it doesn't warp and doesn't stink!

Hey Joel, have you ever thought about using Netfabb basic? It's free and you can easily cut your 3D model in half, that way anyone who doesn't have simplify3D can do the same :)
