Muhammad Asif was a best bowler of Pakistan team. he had played all three formats of cricket but he impress the world with his bowling mostly in long format. he was a magician ad his variation was just mind blowing. the thing which make him famous is the complete control on his bowling like length , line , inswing and perfectly outswing. he was just phenomenal.

Last 30 years of continuous cricket watching it can easily be said that Wasim Akram and Mohammad Asif are the best fast bowlers I had a chance to witness!!!! Never saw Lillee or Marshal, but old videos do tell their skill set, however it was more their attitude than their talent I guess which elevated them.
Akram and Asif were much above their counterparts since they complimented the skill set with their brilliant bowling IQ. Of course Wasim always had more pace and bounce at disposal which made him more equipped, while Asif was the perfect pick pocket amongst fast bowlers - in every sense it might be. He simply defeated batsmen in a fist fight of tactical superiority!!!!

Muhammad Asif was a very talented bowler and a delight to watch and a nightmare to face. He made life miserable for almost everyone who faced him. The best batsmen fell to him. The ease with which he bowled was admirable. I have always believed that the traditional cricket playing countries like England and Australia always try to trap the talented bowlers and players of the subcontinent. If they have difficulty in dealing with their calibre they try to lure them into ways that are difficult for our players not to succumb to. That is what happened to this brilliant bowler. they did the same to Md Amir (brilliantly talented). In india their is a lot of money in the game so the players rarely fall prey. But in Pakistan they get tempted. I hope that we have more protection for t=such rare talents and see to it that they do not fall victims to such temptations and serve their respective countrties and enrich the game.
