4:55 is inaccurate - there was a post where people were able to comment (thread 4286304 - this is still up), but yes, this was largely just people pointing out the obvious issues with the plan.

I always thought the best solution to this was to simply remove mods, but keep Helpers to do stuff like answer questions and more basic stuff. A role that at the most could give an hour mute but even that would be a lot. Hypixel just feels so much more dead without Helpers and Moderators.

I've been banned falsely recently and my appeal got denied and i even made a ticket explaining i just wanted help and i got basically nothing which really shows its pretty hard to get help and support nowadays

Hypixel definitely made the right decision. Ever since gamemasters replaced mods/helpers, moderation on hypixel has improved a ridiculous amount. It has reduced corruption in the staff team and cheaters actually get banned now.

You forgot the reason why hypixel removed mod and helper, it was because they had legal troubles and were now obligated to pay and could no longer hold volunteer positions for minors .
