When I first heard this song I was rotting in bed during a depressive episode. I was paralyzed and could do nothing but remember everything from early childhood leading up to now. All of the pain; so much pain, and the joy mixed in their all mixing together making me who I am. I was disappointed in myself for letting my mind go haywire. I cried to hard out of frustration since it was all my fault; I was addicted to drugs, alcoholic, sex addict, and completely lost myself. I found an old picture of me as a kid and could see the shine in his eyes. I thought I killed that part of me and grieved the loss of my innocence until today. Today I’ve realized that my inner child never left me. It’s all apart of who I am and I’m just that kid who grew up. To you reading if you can relate in any way you must fight. FIGHT for your self in any way you can. Clean your room, take a shower, do something. These sound like pity tasks but trust me when you’ve been where I have they take up so much energy. You aren’t a pussy, take charge in your development. This is part of being human. Love y’all I believe in you :)
