Seeing that iconic Nickelodeon orange vhs tape brought back so many memories especially of The Rugrats Movie. Seeing the vhs version of Titanic also brought back memories of always having to get up to put the second tape in.

I’m 100% sure that there’s a direct correlation between the streaming platforms and the lack of interest and poor content of movies today, specially from Netflix. Movie titles looks flat, dead, color saturated and the quality of most TV shows leaves much to be desired. There’s some level of craftsmanship that started in the production and ended in the final product, whether it was the theatrical release or the VHS/DVD. Kids are very responsive from this factor and they get more excited when they see something on a physical form than from a screen.

I was born in 97, i fondly remember watching all the Disney movies on VHS at grandma's house. Ahh memories 😢

You just made me feel old, we had a Beta Max player. In fairness they came out around the same time +/-. They just got voted off the island as VHS had quantity whereas Beta tapes had quality. Beta had a super defined quality but VHS was able to record longer that people took the quality hit for that extra time to record. I miss my old movies 😢
