This track brings tears to my eyes. 16yo me just out cruising in my car, summertime, windows down, and not a care in the world. Tracks like this always being me back to a better time.

How is it that this tune is from 2004, yet it still sounds fresh today? This tune is a masterpiece, well ahead of it's time.

Drum and bass is like wine, the quality stuff gets better over time ;)

judging by the consistency of comments here, you all might appreciate this little tale. i'm old. i didn't really get into electronic music until my thirties (mostly house in infinite varieties). and even then, drum and bass has never been my favorite. partly the bpm just throws me off. basically i loved aphrodite's seminal album and not too much else. over time i started to open up to more stuff but i'm still very selective and it's a mood-based thing (during covid i started to get into some dnb folks on twitch). so marsh just released his set from anjunadeep explorations in albania this summer. he gives a little description since like me, many of his fans know his melodic deep stuff; he talks about how dnb was such a huge influence for him in his youth. anyway, so i just did my first run through yesterday and another today. and this track leapt right out and socked me in the face.

tldr: yesterday was the first time i ever heard this choon. :D

Finally someone shows a bit of sense on Youtube. I agree with you 100% Music is such a personal thing that comparing styles is pointless. people need to forget about genre, the technology, production methods and the right and wrong way of doing something and just sit back and enjoy music for what its meant to be.
