Traveled to Ghana in 2010 with my brothers and Mother. As an African American I was instantly in awe with the kindness of the people of Ghana. I felt much safer in Accra, the capital, and Kwamasi than in most U.S. cities. One of the most amazing trips of my life. I felt like I was "HOME" for 10 days.

Dear Narrator: It is not a “dance with coffins.” It is a funeral…dirge. Bless your heart. You deserve an “A” for Effort.

Thank you for your insight. I currently live in Accra amongst my husband’s maternal tribe, The Ga. I’m surprised you don’t mention them in your video since they are THE tribe of Accra.

Well done, only thing missing: the vendors in the streets, no matter how close cars come to them. Love the northern region

Thanks for the video. I will be using this as a part of research to prove how Western Media Europeans and their descendants love to show African countries in negative light. Much thanks.

I might be wrong but I don't think the Akan people scar faces. It is usually practice in the northern part

Wow, fascinating glimpse into life in Ghana! Polygamy, tribal traditions, and cautions—so much to learn. Respect for their culture shines through.

Pls AKan's don't do scarification like the way you said it. What you said mostly apply to the northern tribes. If an akan have scars, it'll be from being treated by a herbalist for an illness. This is as a result of slightly cutting the skin and applying medicine there which then leave a scar. Those scars are tiny and you could barely see them. Most importantly, they are not found on the face but mostly on the joints, waist, and back. If you see someone with scarifications on their faces, its called tribal mark and Akans don't do tribal marks. You can't even be King in Asante tribe if you have scars. Its a taboo.
That is what I wanted to correct from the video
