Great, my new-to-me used id3 came with only 1 key working. Using your video I have fixed it saving a long hassle with the dealer who should have checked before selling.

Brilliant 👍🏻😆 - it is absolutely amazing how many people don't know this stuff - and go to the dealer ( stealer ) to get it done. Oh - and one thing - get good quality battery (Panasonic, Duracell, Energizer etcc...) - the ones available in places like Lidl, just don't last as long. Particularly with these new keyless entry

Funnily enough I had to do this for my ID3 key fob just a couple of days ago. There is a small springy piece of metal which popped out for me (you can see it in your video), which took a bit of fiddling to get back in place, but otherwise an easy enough job.

Jetzt noch so ein schönes Video wie man im Notfall, ohne Batterie, das Auto öffnet. ;-) Die offizielle Anleitung macht mir Angst! Man muss da ein Plastikteil aus der Tür heraushebeln. Hab's versucht. Aber meine sensible Feinmotorik hat mich davor abgehalten, da ich das Gefühl hatte, gleich bricht etwas...
