Old guy here. Well, I have to say KC had all the right moves laying the groundwork for a possible 3peat. They extended all the coaches, cut the deadwood out of the roster, extended key players, scoured the FA market, had a very precise draft, picked up a really good UDFA, and then grabbed a couple of good players from the roster cut downs. I have to give them tremendous credit for their concentrated effort here. They didn’t stand pat, no pun intended, but did what they needed to to improve the roster. On top of that, they definitely seem focused and determined to make their absolute best effort to achieve this almost insurmountable task. If any team do it, they can.
Barring injuries, that is the real unknown. I think at this point, the only team that can beat is THEMSELVES!

2 of your 4 reasons don't apply to the Chiefs this season (salary cap & coaching staff changes). They've won 2 Super Bowls without Tyreek Hill. So the biggest threats to a Chiefs 3-peat are: injuries and playoff format. You missed one key element to injuries: number of games played. Unless you have the same Super Bowl teams each year for 3 years, then a 3-peat will involve one team playing many more games than all other NFL teams over that time. When your season is consistently one month longer than anyone else's, that takes a toll on your body over 3+ years. This is the biggest threat to a Chiefs 3-peat. Even if they make it to the Super Bowl this season mostly uninjured, the playoff format is their next biggest threat. Of course, you invalided your own reasons by pointing out the Packers have won three NFL Championships in a row. So we know it can be done!

I've been a Chiefs fan for almost 50 years and have experienced mostly disappointment until the arrival of Mahomes. The big difference in KCs bid for a three-peat could be that quarterbacks are better protected by the rules than they used to be.

If the Chiefs fail to 3-peat, then no team will EVER do for the rest of time. Kansas City has addressed the salary cap and the staff overhaul. Even the era they play in now is an advantage since quarterbacks are more protected now than they used to be. Injuries and off-nights are the only factors that can't be controlled, so who knows? Win or lose, history will be made this year

The Chiefs just ALWAYS get it done when it matters most. My Browns have been close to beating them TWICE a couple years ago, but could never get it done in crunch time 😡.

4 months ago, this team was decimated by injuries. However, with the exception of Rashee Rice and Jaylen Watson (who seems to be trending to play Saturday) this team is as healthy as it has been all season.
