I remember once in assembly, my school was trying to teach us about hope, and this teacher got up holding a balloon and had drawn a smiley face on it and he had a needle and he said "See this balloon represents you and this needle represents tragedies" He then put tape over an area of the balloon, "The tape is the shield we have over ourselves, in a way it can represent our optimism"
He then took the needle and said "Now I will show you how similar to this balloon, we can adapt from our problems and learn from them and bounce back from difficulties." He jabbed the needle into the tape, and the balloon popped. It was an awkward silence for a moment before he said "Well, I guess sometimes we can't always bounce back" Those words, I am always reminded by everytime I see a balloon.
