Are you getting frustrated with your picky kitty? Cats are known for being finicky eaters. Finding a food that is healthy and appetizing to your cat can be a daunting task. Whole food ingredients and the appetizing aroma of real protein sources are usually more tempting to picky pets than commercial pet food. There is a good chance that this homemade cat food for picky eaters will tempt your fussy feline.

One of the best things about making homemade cat food is that you can add lots of variety to your pet’s diet. Changing up the protein source and mixing in different fruits and vegetables is a great way to keep mealtime exciting for your pet.

If you’ve tried a lot of different options to get your cat to eat regular meals, it may be time to switch to a homemade diet. You need to discuss this change with your veterinarian and ask for their advice on making nutritious meals to meet your cat’s unique nutritional needs.

I've never tried my girls on clams because of the cost. I did recently try them on a pilchards based wet food and they love it, so I may have to look again. I do have one girl with gastric issues, so thanks for the reminder to touch base with her vet.

Cats cannot tolerate salt like humans, so if those canned clams have any added salt, you can't use them. Same goes for canned tuna or any canned protein.

My cat is super picky. He wont eat sardines, chicken, beef, etc. but likes tuna and one specific brand of lickable treats with salmon and tuna in it. I dont know if he would eat this or not 🤦‍♂️

Clams have too much phosphor and sodium please don't feed your cats with clams.
