BFAR Training Course on Marine Fish Hatchery Operations

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) enrolled 10 participants in the training course on marine fish hatchery operations provided by SEAFDEC/AQD. The aim is to bolster the capacity of BFAR technical staff and selected members of local government units (LGUs) to also train others and implement projects related to marine fish seed production.

The 35-day training course, which ran from 15 April to 20 May 2024, included lectures and practical sessions on broodstock management of marine fish, marine fish hatchery operations, natural food culture, nutrient requirements of marine fish, feed formulation and preparation, and cage culture of high-value marine fish.
