Hammering the dowels through the jaws of some vise grips cuts some nice grooves to allow glue to penetrate a little better 👍

My two favorite things you do are the masking tape trick and attaching handles using inertia. My grandfather taught me that trick at first I thought he was kidding me because he was a bit of a kidder. So he showed me. I’ll always remember that. Thanks for the memory.
