If you're curious, the reason why the grebe pull out their feathers and feed it to their young is because their diet consists of small fish which have small bones. It's theorized that the feathers are used to protect the inner lining of the stomachs so the kids can eat the food without getting hurt. As they get older, they don't need it quite as much

Those white bats are so ADORABLE! Bats themselves are actually quite cute since they are typically round shaped at their faces but a lighter complexion makes their facial features even more detailed.

Everyone should know this: the bat is white for camouflage! when viewed from below, the white reflects the color around it, so when they’re in their leaf tent, they blend almost perfectly and it’s amazing 🥲
